In India it is known by the name Arishta, which means “the tree capable of curing all diseases”; the Arabs call it Shajar-e-Mubarak which means “blessed tree”. The richness in oleic and stearic acids gives the product eudermic properties: Neem oil integrates very well with the skin's hydrolipid film, hindering the evaporation of skin water.
