The pink stripe represents homosexuality. The blue stripe represents heterosexuality. The overlap of these two stripes produces a purple stripe in the middle of the flag which represents bisexuality. The way the purple stripe blends between the two others, is meant to represent how bisexual individuals blend between heterosexual and homosexual spaces and communities.
