Raw Natural Libyan Desert Glass Specimen Rock / Slice Country of Origin: Western Egypt Quantity: 1 Libyan Desert Glass Specimen. You will receive the gemstone in the photos Size: Approx 5cm in height x 2cm in width x 0.3cm in depth 10-point scale of mineral hardness: 6.5 - 7.0 (10 - Hard, 1 soft) Weight: 4.8 grams per stone Care has been taken to ensure that weights and measurements are as accurate as possible, however please do note that these are only approximate. These specimens are in their natural raw form and shedding of small crystals is normal. Natural inclusions, cracks and pockets are all visible and all part of the natural stone. Please handle with extra care. These are very fragile stones. Libyan Desert glass or Great Sand Sea glass is an impactite, made mostly of lechatelierite, found in areas in the eastern Sahara, in the deserts of eastern Libya and western Egypt.

Love these! The quality is excellent. I'm not sure about the difference in weight and size of some of the items for the same price; sometimes the difference is quite large. I like the pieces where you buy what you see in the picture with the size and price clearly stated.
