This clay, naturally rich in iron which gives it its color, is well known for restoring complexion radiance and reducing skin redness. Its virtues are numerous: it cleanses deeply, purifies the skin, absorbs impurities, detoxifies, mattifies the complexion, stimulates circulation and tones. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Wet the soap and apply it directly to the skin for a few minutes. The red clay soap can also be used as a solid shampoo, or applied and left for 5 minutes as a treatment mask. MANUFACTURE: Karawan Aleppo soaps are made by a master soapmaker according to the traditional recipe of cooking whole oils in a copper cauldron. After 24 hours of cooking, the paste is poured into large sheets, cooled, then cut by hand. The blocks are stacked in towers for 9 months of drying and curing in the open air, under the vaulted ceilings of the soapworks.
