Designed by Professor Emeritus at Musashino Art University, winner of the Mainichi Design Award in 2012, and Grand Prize of the Japan Crafts Exhibition in 2015, Makoto Koizumi is the designer of the Lemnos kehai. kehai (気配) means "the presence of something in the vicinity" in Japanese. Indeed, its definition is somewhat elusive and ambiguous. One can only grasp the idea of "kehai" loosely, vaguely, and almost, poetically. Koizumi's kehai is an objet d’art that introduces the sense of time to a space, without announcing time's precise existence.
