The Contrast series from Kosta Boda is manufactured using a technique called centrifugation. The technique, invented in Sweden's Kingdom of Crystal in the 1950s, creates veils of color inside the glass mass. In combination with the color powder and sticks added during the process, each piece becomes unique. The black vase is beautiful on its own, and even more so with your favourite flowers. An example is the technique called glass centrifugation, which was invented here in the 1950s. In the series Contrast, this technique comes into its own, where the coloring's path through the glass - using color powder and sticks - creates billowing veils, giving each object a unique pattern. Contrast from Kosta Boda was launched in 2005 and consists of bowls, dishes and vases in several sizes and colors.
