The ridges on the Ballenas planter remind us of baleen, what whales use for feeding. Each of our planters is named for a lighthouse on BC's coast, and conveniently, there is a lighthouse with a similar name — the Ballenas Island Light, on West Ballenas Island. Our plant pots are 3d printed using a safe, biodegradable, plant-based, and durable PLA based plastic. PLA is made from eco-friendly renewable plant-based materials instead of oil-based plastics such as ABS. PLA is lightweight and durable, making it perfect for pairing with a macrame plant hanger. Please note that while PLA 3d printed products are durable, they are also heat sensitive (don’t put it in your oven!) and are not dishwasher-safe.
