In Puccini's wonderful opera "Tosca," heroine Floria Tosca is facing doom at the hands of the opera's villain, Baron Scarpia. They are seated at table and Scarpia offers her a drink and says, "A sip to cheer you." In Italian, the line is "Un sorso per rincorarvi." Take that line out of the opera, and it goes well with any beverage. Especially wine -- that's what Scarpia was talking about! Who cares if he's the villain? We can all use a sip to cheer us. This is my own lettering. I did it by hand, on paper, the old-fashioned way -- exactly as Mario, Tosca's artist lover, would have done it. On one side you have the Italian, and the other side of the mug features the English translation.
