My artistic journey began with oil landscapes and gradually evolved into Western art. After moving to Arizona, I embraced life as an Old West artist. Each new cowboy or Native-focused film inspires me in a different direction, from scenes of cattle drives and frontier life to stories of Native people struggling to survive a changing West. Native Indians gathering at a council meeting, seemed to be and appropriate subject matter to paint. No matter where we find native people, they always had a source for water, and it is the lifeline for all. More often than not near rivers of running creeks.
