Wholesale GEOMETRIC WOODEN PENDANT – Small / Handcrafted Veneer

A handcrafted small wooden pendant cut from tsuki-ita — an ultra-thin natural wood veneer developed at MORI KOUGEI. Multiple veneer sheets are layered into a 2 mm panel, strong enough to hold a precise geometric cut without splitting the natural grain. Each pendant is made from padauk, a tropical hardwood prized for its vivid orange-red tone and smooth surface. Finished with natural beeswax oil, the surface preserves the warmth of the wood with a subtle, low sheen. Paired with a slim 480 mm gunmetal chain and stainless steel fittings — modest in size yet present. Three geometric variations are offered: – Rectangle: 23 × 17 mm, quiet and balanced. – Hexagon: 20 × 18 mm, drawn from traditional motifs. – Circle: Ø20 mm, a complete, gentle form. These pendants sit alongside MORI KOUGEI's larger work — trays, plates, stands — and carry the same veneer expertise into wearable form. A note on the makers. MORI KOUGEI began in 1953 with the first generation, Masaichi Mori. The patterns and surfaces of today's product line are shaped through a quiet collaboration between Kenichi Mori — second-generation craftsman and Mokuga artist — and his son Hiroyuki Mori, the current director, who systematized the design vocabulary the workshop uses across both home objects and wearables. Tokushima itself shapes the work. The region is known both for fine woodcraft and for natural fermentation indigo — two traditions that continue to inform the studio's material choices and finishes.
