This ointment is also indicated for peripheral neuropathy in that the chili pepper's active ingredient, capsaicin, inhibits the nerve endings from sending pain signals to the brain. There is approximately one Carolina Reaper chili pepper in EACH one ounce of ointment. Capsaicin is derived from the chili pepper and provides the heat when the ointment is applied topically. The Chili Pepper ointment has a capsaicin content of 0.141%. Compare to Capzaicin at 0.100% or CVS' capsaicin cream at 0.15%. The COA is available on request.
