All Sarah Welch Pottery is 100% made in my shop in Colorado including the clay and glazes. We never use commercial molds, glazes or bisque ware. This is a lovely set with the smaller inside heart all bronze that sits in the larger heart that is glazed glossy black on the inside and bronze on the outside. The dark shiny interior of the larger heart frames the little bronze heart for a stunning display. I have made these heart jewelry bowls for those celebrating their 8th , 9th or 19th wedding anniversary -the bronze pottery years. This hearts makes a great jewelry bowl for necklaces, rings, earrings, and such. Each pot is individually formed and glazed. I develop and make all my own glazes. This is one of my newest glazes, a metallic bronze. All my pottery is food, dishwasher and microwave safe, and lead free. I have added the opition of having a number (8, 9 or 19) added to the outside bottom of the small heart for an extra $6, see 'options'. If you do not want a number select 'no number".
