Wholesale Double dish in HB Quimper faience – Breton yellow and black decoration – Model F.870

The HB Quimper manufactory, born from the merger of the Henriot and Beaumont houses, is one of the oldest faience factories in France still in operation. Its pieces from the 1960s are now sought after for the quality of their glaze and the vividness of their colors. This double dish with a central handle is a table model intended for condiments or hors d'oeuvres. Two cylindrical cups joined by an arched handle, all covered with an intense sun-yellow glaze, matte black banding at top and bottom, and hand-painted decoration: arabesques, heart motifs, burgundy dots and geometric hatching. The stroke is lively, confident, without correction. The marking on the back is complete and legible: HB Quimper / RX / F.870 / D.7156. An identified, dated, traceable model. Impeccable condition. Glaze without chips or hairlines, bright colors, interiors of the cups immaculate. Placed on a raw wooden tray with a few olives and a glass of rosé, it immediately regains its primary function. On a kitchen shelf, it brings that touch of clear yellow and Breton character that few contemporary objects manage to give. A piece that does not go unnoticed.
