The original design of the black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus) was hand carved in wax by artist Spring Winders, and then cast in small batches in the Heliotrope studio in Barrio Viejo, Tucson, Arizona. An iconic species, Southwestern vibe with a hint of darkness in the eye.
