Britian is a beautifully cast reproduction of a double sided WW1 victory medal featuring Winged Victory on the front and the reverse is stamped "The Great War for Civilisation 1914-1919" inside of a laurel wreath. The medal is substantial and large at 35mm and sterling silver plated pewter. In beautiful contrast it hangs from a 5mm heavy flat oval chain in antique copper that measures 18.5 inches long. *The original Greek art sculpture "Winged Victory of Samothrace" is on display at the Louvre Museum in Paris and is dated back to 190.BC and I must say, she is glorious in person.
