Description
These cufflinks are crafted from genuine Tabasco geodes, the world’s smallest geodes — but among the most vivid. Unlike typical purple amethyst, these showcase striking red tones created by hematite inclusions and red moss agate rims. Each tiny geode is polished to reveal its sparkling crystals, then mounted in antique brass cufflink findings for a bold yet refined finish. * Easy-to-use, bullet-back hardware * Naturally one-of-a-kind, undyed stones — each pair shows unique crystal sparkle. Stone origin: near the town of Tabasco, southwest of Zacatecas, Mexico Geodes are born from the ancient flow of lava. Gas bubbles within the lava rose to the top, just like the bubbles you see when you pour a cup of soda...or champagne! When the lava cools quickly, the lava thickens, and the bubbles can't reach the top. Those trapped bubbles form hollow cavities as the lava hardens around it. The minerals trapped in the cavities form even more layers within the cavities, which typically include celadonite first -- that's the dark green exterior you see; then agate, then quartz, and finally amethyst. Sometimes calcite overgrowth inclusions can be found too. Our hand-selected, extra quality stones are intuitively sourced in person at the Tucson and Quartzsite Gem Shows from only the most reputable individual suppliers. Please allow for slight variations in color, shape, size, and sparkle of the stones. Each geode is unique! You will receive: one matched and mirror-polished pair in a fancy gift box. * Reg: ~1.5cm - 2cm at its largest; (that's between the size of a US dime and a US penny) * XL: ~2cm - 2.5cm at its largest; (that's between the size of a US nickel and a US quarter) The hardware is countersink drilled-in to the stone. Each stone is then extra-securely attached to its hardware with aircraft grade bonding/jeweler's cement. The reverse attachment point is then lightly coated in clear resin to act as a "bumper" to help prevent damage while wearing or if dropped. ► HOW TO WEAR! The simple-to-use bullet rod rotates 90 degrees for easy fastening and security. To put on, just turn the bullet vertically to pass it through the cufflink holes then flatten it back to a horizontal position to secure the cufflink in place. The stone part of the cufflink should go on the outside of your shirt’s cuff-holes, and will be seen on the outside of your body when your arm is to the side. Now you can show off how awesome you are! Check out our gemstone collection here! https://www.faire.com/product-based-collection/pbc_swhpvd7nxk
