When out for a walk with my young son, we spotted irises along the side of the road. We harvested one stem and transplanted it in our newly assembled backyard garden. Ten years later, this exact iris blooms vigorously in mid summer. Abstracted just enough to capture the essence of these gorgeous blooms.
