Wholesale 2.5'x 4' Kilim Rug

This smaller-sized kilim adds charm and color to any space. Perfect as an entry rug, in the bathroom, beside the bed, or in a corner sitting area, it brings warmth and character wherever it’s placed. Handwoven by Turkmen women in Afghanistan, it showcases rich traditional craftsmanship. This kilim has a wrapped fringe. Exact size: 32" x 52" The wool comes from the local sheep herders. They buy the fleece and the Turkmen men and women sort through it for the wool to be spun into yarn. It is spun by hand by women in the cooperative, it is then dyed by men in the local community. The dying is done using 80-100% natural dyes and the natural fleece colors directly from the sheep. If they use commercial dyes they are the safe European wash fast dyes. They purchase the wool warp as it is machine spun to get the strong fiber. Clean using a vacuum, a broom and spot wash with mild soap by hand. We recommend using a pad with the rug to prevent slipping.
