Description

Afternoon sun filtered through swaying, sea-blue whispers of melamine beads and aged linen. Every day, from late morning to evening, golden light drenched the space between these curtains, steeping its dedicated resident in daylong warmth. Ms. Snickers was sprawled comfortably over the periwinkle table runner, seeming to melt into the table as sunlight spread like sweetened malt through her whole being. Her whiskered, tan face was tucked neatly behind two curled paws. Her only movements were the gentle tremble of her pale, generous sides as she purred, and the occasional flick of her brown-tufted ears scattering the steam from a nearby teacup. The cup's gilded rim, slightly chipped, matched the little bell nestled in the wispy fur of Ms. Snickers' chest. On the teacup’s white surface, two Siamese kittens danced paw-in-paw, dressed in tutus matching their baby blue eyes. The kittens rose when gentle fingers lifted the teacup, halos aglimmer as they twirled, then landed with a quiet porcelain click. Sleepily, Ms. Snickers revealed her gaze—a soft, hazy myriad of colors through the steam—before she closed her eyes once more, to dream. Words by Jin C For more information about our yarn bases and spinning fibers, including care instructions, please visit our Yarn Bases page. Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match. I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors. Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
