Product of Spain (Portuguese Coast, FAO 21) Our sardine is “Sardina pilchardus”, considered the best and most prized species for its quality. Caught by the inshore Portuguese fishing fleet that returns to port the same day, ensuring maximum freshness and responsible resource use. The small boats respect quotas to ensure resource sustainability. Each sardine is cleaned by hand and cooked before canning to ensure the highest quality; a detail that makes a difference.
