The hide is laminated to the frame for a proven, long lasting reliable mount. At the back of the frame the padded handle is built on the cross buttress of two thick buffalo rawhide straps. This produces a comfortable, stable hand hold. I use hand rubbed leather dyes on the hide with a finish coat of matte sealer to ensure durability. The artwork is hand applied using acrylic inks that serve to better penetrate the hide for extra durability. The beater is included and is constructed from solid birch and maple hardwood, and then dyed and protected with a urethane finish. The wooden ball head is wrapped with cotton batting and then wrapped with thick felt.
