Gobelin is a fabric that seeks to imitate Gobelins tapestries. Operated fabric made with a jacquard loom, with different warps and several shuttles for the weave. From French (pronounced goblin) it takes its name from the Gobelins Manufacture, which has produced splendid tapestries in Paris since the 17th century. The different warps and textures, of different colors, combined with the possibilities of the Jacquard loom produce very complex and detailed designs, with possible relief effects, and give shape to a very flashy fabric, with a heavy texture, resistant to wear.
