This image is from my 2006 Retablo Series. Archival signed print. Frame is 11" x 14". This series of work is inspired by Mexican Retablos, small devotional or votive paintings, often rectangular sheets of tin that illustrate holy images. I source the tin from central Mexico for my original paintings. My interpretation of this folk art differ from the traditional subject matter, instead I incorporate animals, people, and flora found in every day life.
