The gift boxes are shipped flat to save space and shipping costs, but are easily assembled. Just pop up, place the candle inside, and close the lid. We recommend the gift boxes as a way to elevate the product and for easy stacking. However we have found that some of our retail partners prefer a shelf ready product and/or find the gift box unnecessary due to the candles' dust cover.
