Description

Upcycled glass earring design based on the New Zealand native Kawakawa bush with its distinctive heart shaped leaves. The Kawakawa is a traditional medicinal plant often used by the Maori people and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties with all sorts of different uses.  It is quite commonly used in commercial teas, which have an uplifting, peppery flavour. Cut from a recycled bottle with handcrafted recycled sterling silver hooks. Earring length: 27mm (1.1 in) not including hook. By New Zealand designer Heidi Gilgenberg for StoneArrow. **Due to the nature of the process and the use of recycled materials, colour and size may vary slightly from photo** Glass sources: Green (Wine bottle); Black (Baileys Irish Cream).
