Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and fertility. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus. According to Greek mythology, Aphrodite was born in Cyprus and was the daughter of Zeus and Dione. She rose from the sea's foam on the shore of Pathos, a location of unique beauty, known today as Petra tou Romiou (Rock of the Greek).  Aphrodite is the inspiration behind Sister. Like our craftspeople, she is an island native and therefore our Sister and muse. Each pendant is handmade in Lefkara by George and Panagiotis. Read more about the makers here.
