About MiMAKi UMEBOSHI MiMAKi UMEBOSHI is a premium Japanese sour plum brand. Our UMEBOSHI is produced in a factory operating for over 100 years in the town of Minabe, located in Wakayama, Japan. The plums used in MiMAKi UMEBOSHI are Kishu Nanko-Ume, the finest quality plums, and only the highest A-grade plums are selected. Umeboshi contains many nutrients that have great health benefits, and it is cherished as a daily health food in Japan. Umeboshi is so delicious that it can be used for a variety of dishes. SHISO (Red perilla) This is a traditional-style umeboshi, pickled only with salt and red shiso leaves. Its simple and classic taste reflects the essence of authentic umeboshi. Additive free. HACHIMITSU (Honey) Mild and low in salt, this version is marinated with apple vinegar, honey, and sugar, making it kid-friendly and easy to enjoy. Additive free.
