Wintergreen - Gaultheria procumbens The wintergreen card highlights an edible wild delight. It is a low-growing evergreen plant native to eastern North America. Wintergreen grows in a variety of habitats, including acidic hardwood forests and hemlock-hardwood forests. It’s leaves and edible berries produce an oil that is used to flavor gums and candies. It also has been used traditionally as medicine. Native plants, like American wintergreen, support wildlife habitat and promote biodiversity. Our cards are digital prints of pen and ink and watercolor illustrations and are sustainably printed on 100% recycled cardstock in the Great Lakes region. The inside of the card is blank, making them customizable for any occasion.
