Made from 16 gauge steel reinforced with a 1/2-inch metal bar for stability, it is equipped with built-in brackets on the back where rope, wire, or chain is used to attach it to a tree, post, fence, or other suitable support. It is not self-supporting. Two 10-inch galvanized ground stakes hammered through brackets on the feet are included; post-hole cement can be used with the stakes if theft is an issue. THE FINISHES ARE PRIMED AND PAINTED BLACK, RUSTED, AND YOU PAINT. The RUSTED version comes pre-rusted and is a popular finish. The patina will darken with age and is susceptible to corrosion over time. You can save some money and have it in any color with the "YOU PAINT" Version. We recommend painting it unassembled and touching up the screws after. Any suitable metal spray paint will work. You should keep a can for touch-ups once in a while.
