The vineyards of the Antichi Vigneti farm extend in the hilly and foothills of the municipalities of Cirò and Cirò Marina, in Calabria, historically suited for the production of quality wines. The superior classic red Cirò, made from Gaglioppo grapes, is born from a particular attention to the selection and maturation of grapes suited to a longer-lived wine. Inserted by the Italian Sommelier Foundation in the Bibenda 2020 guide, it was awarded with the 4 Bunches, an evaluation that corresponds to “Wines of great level and outstanding value”. It is aged for 22 months in steel and 6 months in tonneau. This is followed by 3 months in the bottle before being put on the market. Ruby red in color, with an intense and persistent aroma, notes of ripe red fruit and balsamic nuances emerge. The taste is elegant and soft with a fine tannin.
