Description
he Pauli Sweatshirt is a gender neutral, full length sweatshirt made with a vintage kantha front and organic cotton french terry sleeves and back. The Pauli is named after Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, (November 20, 1910 – July 1, 1985). Murray was an American civil rights activist who became a lawyer, gender equality advocate, Episcopal priest, and author. They became the first Black person perceived as a woman in the U.S. to become an Episcopal priest. Murray actively questioned their gender and sex, but was denied gender affirming care. “When my brothers try to draw a circle to exclude me, I shall draw a larger circle to include them. Where they speak out for the privileges of a puny group, I shall shout for the rights of all mankind.” ― Pauli Murray *Info from Wikipedia and the Pauli Murray Center, Murray used a mix of s/he pronouns and we don't know what they would have preferred.
