Urea is a humectant that attracts moisture from the air. Urea is used when applying dye solutions directly to fabric, as in tie dyeing or hand painting. It slows the drying process; therefore, it allows more time for the dye to react with the fiber and yields deeper shades. Urea can be used with Sodium Alginate thickener for screen printing, painting or direct dye application. • Slows drying for deeper color — As a humectant, urea keeps dye solutions moist longer, giving the dye more time to react with the fiber for richer, deeper shades. • Essential for direct dye application — Ideal for tie dyeing, hand painting and other techniques where dye is applied directly to fabric rather than in an immersion bath. • Works with Sodium Alginate — Combines seamlessly with Sodium Alginate thickener for screen printing, direct painting and other dye application methods.

The products are great but the shipping time is extremely slow (I ordered mid May and received late July) and they have zero communication. I messaged three times about a damaged item and never received a response. Faire messaged and didn’t either. Jacquard also didn’t update the shipping so I couldn’t fill out the damage request bc it looked like the order never shipped. Faire had to auto update the order as delivered so I could make a claim bc Jacquard never updated or responded.
