The panda comes from China and there's no way he's leaving this country. Because his favourite food is only available in China: Bamboo! But to get its fill of bamboo, it eats up to 20kg of it a day. Compared to adult animals, panda cubs are really tiny - they weigh just 90 - 130 g. Their fur is still white at the beginning and the typical fur pattern only appears after four weeks. They are suckled by their mother for up to 5 months, only then do they eat solid food. Their fur is a special feature. Due to the great contrast between black and white, the outlines of its shape become blurred.
