In the past, when elegant people enjoyed drinking sake while viewing the moon, they would enjoy gazing at the moon reflected in the sake cup rather than looking up at the moon in the night sky. 　 We created a new sake cup based on the concept of an inverted moon reflected in a sake cup. Its name is "Upside-down." Various images of the months are incorporated into six designs (Yoi/Jugo/Kasa/Ariake/Misoka/Sen) and expressed using lacquer and maki-e. Of the six cups, this product has the motif of the full moon on the fifteenth night of the month. The darkness of the night is expressed with lacquer black, and the full moon and its moonlight are expressed with gold lacquer.
