Button shown in the image measures 11 mm in diameter. This fabric is woven in Nishiwaki City, Japan. The Nishiwaki (Banshu) region is known as Japan’s leading producer of yarn-dyed textiles. This soft cotton fabric is woven using ultra-fine 100/2 yarns, made by twisting two strands of 100-count single yarn together. The use of two-ply yarn enhances the fabric’s natural luster and smoothness, resulting in a refined, silky touch that elevates the classic gingham pattern. Although lighter in weight than standard fabrics, it offers excellent coverage with minimal transparency. Featuring a gingham check of approximately 7 mm, this fabric is airy, soft, and beautifully supple—perfect for creating gentle gathers and comfortable garments. Ideal for shirts, blouses, dresses, tunics, skirts, as well as accessories and small items. Also highly recommended for men’s shirts.
