Hedione - a molecule discovered in the 1960s that perfumers have been quietly obsessing over ever since. It reads as aquatic, slightly green, faintly musky. It makes everything around it smell more expensive. And most importantly, it makes you feel something without being able to explain what. Then the base arrives and doesn't apologise. Virginia cedarwood, dry and slightly smoky. Haitian vetiver, earthy and ancient. Warm amber holding it all together and carrying it forward for hours after the wash cycle has long since ended.
