The name, djembe, comes from the saying which roughly translates to everyone gathering together in peace, defining the drum's purpose. Hand crafted with playability in mind, this 15-inch tall, 7.75-inch diameter djembe is a version of the traditional drums and is a portable size for traveling to festivals, backpacking, camping, or for your local drum circle. It features a black spot-stained finish with an exotic hand-carved elephant design on the foot. The drum is hand-tightened using a nylon cord, and an additional cord is braided to make a handle.
