Dischi Volanti, or “flying saucers,” are round, hollow, and curved, which allows them to better hold the sauce. With their original shape, they are ideal for pasta salads and to please children! Cooking time: 13-14 minutes. Respect the cooking times on premium durum wheat pasta like that from Maison Cavalieri. The times we indicate are Italian recommendations and therefore it is a minimum to obtain pasta al dente. Do not hesitate to increase the cooking time by one or two minutes and to be sure to introduce them into boiling water and not boiling! The variety of wheat used and the Apulian soil certainly explain this difference. Everything is done using a process that allows the dough to blossom without being “brutalized” in the molds.
