Their comprehensive approach to coffee production leverages the exceptional skill sets of multi-generational producers who also specialize in agronomy, social and environmental programs, Q-grading, marketing, and processing. In addition to their commitment to producing 100% certified coffees across 3,000 hectares of farmland, CAFICO’s wet mill operates with water recycling systems, reducing water usage by 80% and diverting post-production pulpy water to their organic fertilizer plant. Coffee is dried via solar dryers and mechanical dryers that run on coffee parchment byproducts as a fuel source. CAFICO’s powerhouse optimizes high-quality Honduran coffee production under the pledge to offer the cleanest coffee on the planet, grown without the use of contaminants, with additional efforts to bolster agroforestry and social welfare for their community in Copán.
