This coffee comes to us from the legendary Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. We were drawn to it for its versatility and flavor. The chocolate and maple sweetness is accentuated by a soft winey and grape acidity. It is a very well balanced cup and delicious on its own or as espresso. As espresso, it is rich, sweet and chocolate forward, making it a delightful shot as well as the perfect companion to milk. This particular lot is from the Dota micro-region within Tarrazu, where smallholder farmers mainly grow the Caturra and Catuai varieties that are collected and processed at the Beneficio Rio Tarrazu mill. This mill combines traditional and modern technologies in order to produce the finest coffees in the world.
