The origin of the fabric has been lost over the centuries of Busatti's history. But we captured the emotions and stories of the rural housewives of the Tuscan hills who required particularly durable, resistant fabrics. This is how the Melograno fabric was born. The popularity has been such that sales have since spread far beyond our hills and valleys. Evidence can be found in some local paintings from the late 1800s on kitchen towels and aprons. Our fabrics are yarn-dyed (meaning that the thread is dyed and not the entire bolt of the fabric), and the number of yarns (meaning the size and quality) is the first choice.
