Our Knotted Haldi Turmeric Mala Prayer Beads are naturally aromatic as carved from turmeric root. There are 108 beads on each strand with a knot between each bead. We are familiar with turmeric as a cooking spice and as benificial medicinal and antioxidant for health. In Ayurvedic medicine, Haldi is considered one of the most purifying herbs. It is used for recitation of Mantras for success with calming conflict. Haldi mala are used to perform Anusthan (special prayers). It is associated with fertility. As our mala are assembled by hand from natural materials, bead sizes and tassel colors may vary. *please note* This mala is carved from natural turmeric root and will stain your skin and clothing yellow when handled and worn, especially when new - many people may not want to wear it but keep it on their altar.
