Ayurveda has advocated since ancient times the benefits of drinking water from copper vessels. Ayurveda states that when you store water for 8–10 hours in a copper bottle or cup, it acquires a balancing effect on the three bio-energies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: air element, Pitta: fire element and Kapha: water element).
