Description
Il Duomo che non c'è is a collection of plates and furnishing accessories designed by designer Vito Nesta. The digitization of some of the drawings present in the very rich archive of the Veneranda Fabbrica has allowed the creation of a series of products, demonstrating that the beauty that the archive holds is not only the preserve of scholars and researchers, but can be enjoyed by everyone in the most varied forms. The basis for the idea of this collection is to show some of the proposals made between 1886 and 1888 on the occasion of the International Competition for the New Facade of the Milan Cathedral. Although none of these were chosen as the winner of the competition, these are real masterpieces made with ink and watercolor, incredibly precise projects that testify to the various architectural styles and movements that appeared on the European scene at the end of the 19th century. Set of 6 bread plates (diameter 16cm).
