-Premium grade organic Matcha tea grown in the Uji region, in the southern area of Kyoto prefecture, Japan. It comes in the form of a powder and owes its fame to the use by Japanese Buddhist monks, who discovered and appreciated its benefits and properties. -The color is bright green and the taste is very intense and pure. It does not contain sugar, preservatives, gluten or allergens. -Produced with stone-ground leaves of the second harvest, it is of a lower quality grade than Ceremonial Matcha but still of high value and higher than the Culinary grade. The leaves are grown in shaded areas, covered with nets to reduce the sunlight absorbed by the plant. In this way, there is a greater production of chlorophyll from which the precious nutrients found in the leaves derive.
