🏴 Madison flag with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying. ✍️ The Design:The flag of Madison, Wisconsin consists of a light blue background bisected from lower left to upper right by a white band, symbolizing Lake Mendota and Lake Monona and the isthmus between them. In the center of the flag is a black cross, which symbolizes the four lakes (Mendota, Monona, Wingra, and Waubesa , as well as the cross shape of the Wisconsin State Capitol. It originally had the zia symbol inside of the black cross but in 2018, that was removed out of respect for the Zia Pueblo and this became the updated flag of Madison.
