A riso print card with an abstract happy face in colorful graphic shapes. Part of a series with several cheerful & funny face cards. The card is printed in 3 bright riso print colors: aqua blue, yellow and fluorescent pink, which blend together to form an orange and orangy-red. The riso printing technique provides bright colors and a light texture. Small shifts in the print are characteristic of riso print and make every card slightly different. The cards are A6 size and printed on 300g/m2 uncoated biotop paper. All cards are handmade in a small & fine illustration studio in Utrecht. What is Riso Printing? Every print is made using a Japanese printing technique called risograph printing. It uses eco-friendly, soy-based ink, which creates the bright and fluorescent colors that bring each print to life. Because every color is a separate layer that goes through the riso printer individually, each print has its own unique texture and character. No two prints are exactly the same! Riso printing is a sustainable alternative to conventional printing, with low energy consumption and plant-based ink that is kinder to the environment. yay!
