Our lives are a journey that sometimes takes us to places we never fathomed or desired, we are faced with the shortfalls of humanity, and we even make choices in free-will that lead us towards pain. But God, in infinite grace loves us unconditionally, gives hope and instills faith, which resonate at the highest of frequencies and leads us to unwavering will to not only thrive but to be fully alive, present and intentional in this world. The book titled Overcomer was written during one of the worst global virus pandemics experienced, Covid-19 turned the world upside down, and changed our global and national culture, seemingly overnight. We were asked and then mandated to exercise physical distancing and then extended quarantine. Millions were infected, hundreds of thousands lost their lives to the virus, and our economies were dramatically depressed. The already marginalized were left in dire circumstances and the most unsavory among us were given unprecedented access to our children and vulnerable adults on and off line. Yet, amidst this chaos each writer albeit challenged, rose up against the compounded adversities, and did not deter from sharing their truth with you. We have and will continue to be refined through this shared pandemic experience. There is a new beginning arising in the twentieth century that will bring forth the fruit of our labor amidst the famine of despair. It will bring unity, as most of us have never experienced, and the paradigm of life and work balance, will adapt. The earth and its inhabitants will begin to flourish again but this time in expectant confidence in God.
