Each bowl is approx.11"L X 8"W X 1.5"H. Inside depth in the cutout area is approx 1.25". The cut-out areas have a volume capacity of 14 oz The bowl you are purchasing is not the bowl(s) in the picture as we make every bowl upon order. All of these bowls are made from Douglas Fir and made by us here in CO. Every bowl is different with the grain of the wood and all natural knots shown. Meaning no two are the same when it comes to wood grain....so the bowl you receive will be a little different from the uploaded pictures, since they are just a general representation but it will be the same exact shape and dimensions. They are all sanded and the bottom is sanded flat to ensure that they sit flat on a flat surface. Stained means each one has been checked over by eye for any spots that might potentially leak and those areas sealed with wood filler prior to sanding. However, because they’re made from natural wood, there can occasionally be small areas that aren’t visible or may be unintentionally missed. For that reason, we suggest keeping your preferred glue on hand. When your order arrives, give the bowl another quick inspection. If you notice a spot we didn’t catch—or if you experience a leak while pouring—just apply a small amount of glue to seal it. Please note that stained does not mean a flame retardant has been applied. We do not add flame retardants due to liability concerns. If you want to use one, we recommend applying it yourself so it’s done exactly the way you prefer. It’s also important to remember that pouring candles into wood is very different from pouring into glass. Even with careful preparation, wood can behave unpredictably—this is true for all wooden bowls, not just ours. We hand-select the best bowls we can for candle making, but there is always some level of risk, and we cannot guarantee against leaks or other hazards. We strongly recommend including a warning label on your finished candles with standard safety reminders such as “never leave a burning candle unattended” and “do not burn below 1/4 inch of wax.” Normal candle safety practices should always be followed. If you’re purchasing these bowls for resale, we suggest adding candle safety instructions, care guidelines, and burning precautions with each order. Proper wick trimming and correct wick placement are also essential for safe use. COMBINE SHIPPING: We do combine shipping on multiple items. Once the order is placed we will package, measure and weigh. At that point we will be able to get an exact shipping quote. Then we will refund the shipping overages. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing the shipping cost when multiple products are purchased until the order is packaged. Also, if you place two separate orders, let us know so we can combine them. Otherwise, we have no way of knowing.
