Planted on our farm in organic mode, the whole plant has a fresh lemon aroma. It is mainly used fresh and fleshy carrots, cut into rings, in various dishes. It combines very well with seafood and fish, ginger and coconut. Its fresh or dried leaves make a pleasant infusion, to drink both cold and hot. It contains about 70% of citral essential oil which is also found in the peel of lemon and orange. It is mainly known and used to relieve digestive problems, to calm the nervous system and also used as an insect repellent. It also has analgesic, anti-depressant and anti-bacterial properties. Among us, the bulbs are not so fleshy, which is why it is more common to use the leaves that also give a delicious citrus flavor to the dishes.
